Kellogg Mookerjee Memorial Seminary has some cultivated land where they grow paddy and other crops in various monsoons. The land is about two acres to grow paddy every year. Now is the time of paddy harvesting. So the KMMS family has been harvesting the paddy with their joyful heart.
Most of the members of the family go to the field just after morning worship at 5.30 am to harvest the paddy and rest of the younger’s go after break fast to bring those paddy inside the campus.
Students carried the paddy bundle from the field to the children center building.
It is a nice and beautiful scenery that all teachers, staffs, faculties and all the students work together to collect the paddy before rain comes.
Most of the paddy already been harvested with the great cooperation by all the members of the KMMS family. Teachers and students brought the entire paddy in the campus and prepared it for eating.
Though this is summer season but our beloved students love to harvest the paddy. When they hear there will be paddy harvesting program they enjoy it very much. At the same time teachers also enjoy the paddy harvesting program. It seems a seasonal enjoyment of the year. We share our love and gratitude to the almighty Father that our school family has some land where we can grow crops for our children. Teachers and students work together to plough the land to cultivate paddy and also harvest the crops also. So their hearts feel with joy when they cut the paddy. It is a time to enjoy the moment together. After harvesting the paddy each year, our school arranges a get together. So we all enjoy the time. Thank the Lord for the beautiful and enjoyable time together.
